Q: What health tests do the parents have?
We test for hip/elbow dysplasia (OFA/BVA), heart conditions, and genetic disorders like PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
Q: Do you offer a health guarantee?
We offer a 2 year guarantee for genetic health conditions.
Q: Are the puppies vaccinated and dewormed?
Yes, they are vaccinated and dewormed before take-home at 8 weeks.
Q: Can I see the puppy’s parents?
Yes, the puppies parents (sometimes the dad, always the mom) are present for visits with the puppies.
Q: How many litters has the mother had?
The mother will have 3 litters in her lifetime (ethical breeders breed dogs 3-6 times)
Q: Is the puppy AKC-registered?
Yes, the puppy is AKC-registered.
Q: Can I choose my puppy, or does the breeder match them?
I prefer to assign puppies based on temperament testing (e.g., confidence, sociability) to fit the buyer’s lifestyle, but do my best to accommodate gender preference and/ or other preferences.
Q: How are the puppies socialized?
Puppies are exposed to children, other dogs, car rides, and household noises before 8 weeks, as well as socialized using puppy culture.
Q: What’s included in the price?
The price of the puppy covers all of their vaccinations, deworming, dew claw removal. They will also have started the early stages of crate-training and potty training upon going home to their families.
Q: What is your return policy?
We require puppies to be returned to us if the family can no longer care for/ provide for him/ her.
Q: Will you provide guidance after I take the puppy home?
Yes! We provide lifelong support on how to care for you puppy, including any questions you may have about training, diet, or health.
Q: What food do you recommend?
We recommend sticking to the puppy’s current diet, Purina Pro-Plan Puppy to avoid digestive issues, but Hill Science Diet, or Royal Canine are also good.
